Dr. Frankie Ng received his Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Design from the world-renowned Royal College of Art in London –the world’s only wholly postgraduate university in art and design and the world’s No.1 art & design college by QS World University Rankings in 2014).Dr. Ng was the first Chinese fashion student to be admitted by the Royal College of Art directly from Hong Kong. He was also thefirst person in the world to have earned a practice-led PhD in fashion design, as well as the first in the history of the Royal College of Art (since 1837). In addition, Dr. Ng holds an executive master of business association(EMBA) degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), whose programme has been ranked by Financial Times as the top EMBA programme in Asia over the past 12 consecutive years and as one of the top 10 EMBA programmes in the world.Dr Ng is currently anAssociate Professor (Fashion and Textile Design)at theInstitute of Textiles and Clothing,The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, whose research performance and citation index in textile and clothing is ranked world’s No.1 by Thomson Reuters. He has supervised more than 15 PhD and post-doc students and is a world respected figure in art & design and education.
